Web App Developer*in (x|f|m)

Du wirst ein wichtiger Bestandteil unseres Design- & Entwicklungs-Teams sein: Deborah (UX/UI Designerin und an der Entwicklung des Frontends beteiligt), Falk (App Developer) und Daniel (Freiberuflicher Senior Full Stack Developer). Du wirst neue und bestehende Features im Backend und im Frontend für die Digital Sparks Plattform entwickeln. Außerdem kümmerst du dich um den technischen Support im Backend bei Digital Sparks Workshops. Im besten Fall bringst du eine Menge Leidenschaft und Interesse im Bildungsbereich mit.


You will be part of the EIL team and collaborate with the Design and Development Team: Deborah (UX/UI Designer and contributing on the front-end), Falk (App Developer), and Daniel (Freelance Senior Full Stack Developer). You will be building and reviewing new and old features for the backend and frontend of the Digital Sarks App. You may be as well the backend technical support person during Digital Sparks workshops. At best, you bring a lot of passion and interest in the field of education.

• Du möchtest ein integraler Bestandteil unseres Teams in Berlin werden
• Möglichkeit auch mal persönlich an Meetings teilzunehmen
• Gute Kenntnisse in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS und HTML5
  
• Erfahrung im Umgang mit React, GraphQL, NodeJS, git
  
• Vorzugsweise hast du schon mit Unified Content Plattformen wie Sanity.io gearbeitet
  
• Du beherrschst Cross Browser und Responsive Design Strategien
  
• Du sprichst fließend Englisch oder Deutsch
  
• Idealerweise hast du Erfahrung und/oder Interesse im Bildungsbereich

• Availability to join meetings in person from time to time
• Good knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5
• Experience working with React, GraphQL, NodeJS, git
• Preferably you have been working with unified content platforms like Sanity.io
• You are proficient with cross browser and responsive design strategies
• You are fluent in English or German
• Ideally, you have experience and/or interest in the field of education

About the Education Innovation Lab:

Das Education Innovation LAB ist ein gemeinnütziges Unternehmen (gUG), das sich für eine grundlegende Transformation unserer Bildungssysteme einsetzt. Dafür entwickeln und gestalten wir neue Unterrichtskonzepte, Lernmaterialien und Workshops zu Themen, die für unsere Zukunft wichtig sind. Zum Beispiel zu “Selbstbestimmung im Netz“, Grundeinkommen, Klima-Aktivismus oder Zukunftsforschung. Dabei arbeiten wir auch mit vielen anderen Akteur*innen aus dem Bildungsbereich zusammen. Wir tragen zur Vernetzung bei, machen Wissen und Erfahrungen allgemein zugänglich und unterstützen, begleiten und beraten rund ums Thema Bildungsinnovation.

Wir sind ein buntes Team aus PoC und weißen, able bodied, trans* und cis Menschen, in verschiedenen Arbeitszeitmodellen. Bei uns arbeiten Menschen mit kleinen und großen Kindern und aus verschiedenen Ländern. Einige von uns definieren sich als queer. The Education Innovation LAB is a non-profit organisation (gUG), that is committed to fundamentally transform our education system. Therefore we develop and design innovative learning formats, workshops and material in topics, which are relevant for our future. For example, “self-determination online”, basic income, climate activism or future studies. We are also working together with countless other players in the field of education. It is our mission to connect, to make knowledge and experiences generally available, and to support, accompany and consult all around the topic of education innovation.

We are a mixed Team of PoC and white, able bodied, trans* and cis people, working in different working time models. People with small and large children from different countries are working with us. Die Tätigkeit kann aus dem Homeoffice durchgeführt werden. Es ist möglich an abgesprochenen Tagen aus unserem Büro in Berlin Mitte zu arbeiten. Unser Büro ist durch Stufen am Eingang leider nicht komplett barrierefrei.
